Bingin is a stunning beach with unrivalled views over the Indian Ocean and the great wave that make it one of the most demanded surfing points by surfers in Bali and the world. Bingin Beach is located in the South of Bali, in the Pecatu Village. It is only 30 minutes from Denpasar Airport and less than 10 minutes to Uluwatu Temple, one of the stunning tourist destinations of Bali Island. Bingin is also situated close to the other famous surfing points such as Padang-Padang, Impossible and Dreamland within swimming distance as well as Uluwatu, Suluban, and Balangan. Most of these can even be walked to and from during a beautiful low tide. Walking along the then exposed coral riff is a breathtaking experience.

Bingin Beach is one of Bali’s most popular surf spots. It’s also one of the island’s hidden beaches, obscured by the rugged limestone cliffs on the southwestern Bukit peninsula. While getting to the stretch of white sand requires a difficult walk over uneven rocks, most people agree that it’s well worth the effort as they get to experience the gorgeous beachscapes and exciting waves. Bingin offers a treat for photographers or those simply looking for a place to relax and take in the exotic sunsets. Jerman Beach is situated right next to the north side of the airport. This beach used to be a harbour decades ago. Merchants were coming from many countries buying some spices, arts, and other things from Bali through this harbour, but as time went by, the airport started operating; this harbour was no longer as busy as before.
Many expatriates from Germany also resided in this area; that is why locals called this beach Pantai Jerman (Germany Beach).

It has a long walking path by the shore normally used by locals and guests from nearby hotels for jogging and biking every afternoon. There are several beach bars on the beach offering snacks and beverages with cosy sunbeds for relaxing.
Normally it is busy during the afternoon (sunset hours). If you are interested in aeroplane sightseeing, Jerman beach is the perfect place. You can see many planes take off and land in Bali airport almost every minute during the high season.
